A savvy cash on demand marketer/student will look for inspiration in their HEADLINE SWIPE FILE … their collection of headlines from all over the world which have already been proven to work.
Why? Because great headlines can be adapted into different contexts, re-worded and re-used over and over.
Indeed, anytime anyone’s promotion rakes in big money, you should save the headline into your Headline Swipe File for future reference. And right from the start you should categorize those headlines to make it even easier for you to get your hands on the right ‘type’ to use for your own promotion.
For example, if you were marketing a money-making type cash on demand product you might put all related headlines into a file marked say ‘MONEY’. Otherwise you’ll end up with hundreds, even thousands of headlines to go through looking for the right one to adapt.

If he had just left the title (headline of his ad) as something like, ‘Book of Tax Forms’, well he’d have been lucky to have sold 35 copies let alone 350,000 he did sell. So never ignore the importance of getting your headline/title right … it is, as I say, THE KEY COMPONENT to your entire cash on demand business.
Now if you’ve never tried to create your own headlines … or used a headline swipe file … please don’t think its hard or indeed that it’s going to be boring. Nothing could be further from the truth. Firstly, creating headlines is simplicity personified.

Let me give you another quick example. Let’s suppose you have the rights to a home study course about tax and all the possible ways you could pay less tax. Well you might initially just put down the title of the course thus:-

Now, it may be the title of the actual course, but that’s not going to be a very good cash on demand headline for your sales letter or web site. Not exactly producing an emotive response is it.
So here’s what you do. You go to your Headline Swipe File and play around with a few of the ready-made headlines. It doesn’t mean you’ll get an exact one to adapt, but you may take elements of several in your file.For example, let’s suppose we looked at the following completely different headlines in our swipe file:-
