Entrepreneur and Self Made Millionaire Andrew Reynolds Releases An Important Extract From The UK’s Foremost Home Study Course – Cash on Demand…
I want you, just for a moment to try to think about the face of an old man gazing out of a window at life going by below. Why? Because before I begin today’s lesson I’d like to give you a stark warning that if you don’t heed, you could waste your entire life away if you wait for something to happen.
I was reminded of this, earlier today when walking through a major UK city. As I strolled along I saw a little narrow alleyway leading off the main High Street … a little ‘cut through’ if you like.
To help you picture it better the passageway, which incidentally lead through to another larger road, had a few little shops either side. I decided to investigate and wandered up the alleyway….
The first thing I noticed was that on the right was a small glass fronted shop with stacks of luggage, bags, cases, rucksacks and holdalls of every sort.
They were displayed outside the front windows, hanging down from above the shop sign and adorning the insides of the window display areas. In short, there were bags and cases of every description for sale in every little bit of space there was available.
Now the reason I mention this particular shop is that I just happened to be looking for a new laptop bag at the time and had in mind to buy one with wheels and a collapsible handle … its great isn’t it that you can carry your entire cash on demand business around in a laptop.
Anyway, to get back on track, I wanted something I could basically use on my travels abroad (I use a large 17inch laptop and the damn things is quite heavy when you find yourself carrying it around at the airport ).
So naturally the display caught my eye so I stopped outside the shop and picked up the first large laptop bag that came to my attention.
Almost immediately, the owner suddenly appeared at the door and started to engage me in conversation about the size of the bag, the material it was made from, the strength of the welded seams, the airport-handler-proof zips and sold corners, the width apart that the wheels are etc.
Phew, this guy knew everything there was to know about laptop bags.
Any way before I knew it I was inside the shop looking at three options of bag before finally deciding on a £87 one in black, with loads of pockets for documents, and all the bits and pieces that go with running an entire Cash on Demand business from a small hand luggage sized bag.
As I was waiting for my card payment to go through the owner asked if I had bought from him before. I explained that I was just visiting the City.
“Ahh” … he said … “It’s just that we have been here for 26 years and I thought maybe you might have bought your last bag here….”
26 years? 26 YEARS!!!
Strewth!! 26 years ago, space invaders was all the rage, PC’s were not yet invented, Ronald Reagan was President (and got shot), DeLorean had just produced his first gull wing car, the first London Marathon was held, The Yorkshire Ripper was sent to prison…
Now that seems like a lifetime ago to me. I got an instant flashback of when I was a kid, many years before, standing behind the counter in my Dad’s little hardware store. I can see him now whiling away the hours while we WAITED for people to come in to buy something.
As I reflected I was suddenly snapped out of my daydream as the shopkeeper repeated his mantra:- “26 years…”.
Actually, on top of the counter was a black and white photograph of the guy’s father. It stood proudly in view… A snapshot from the past taken in the same shop. Seems the youthful guy, who had just received my £87 contribution to the shops overheads, had recently taken the business on from his Dad.
Between them they had stood in that shop 6 days a week (now 7 days) for over a QUARTER OF A CENTURY. Think about it. Silently there they had stood just waiting for people who happened to be walk down that side alley and happened to be on the lookout for a new bag of some sort.
26 YEARS of looking at people walking past…
26 YEARS of staring across the alleyway at the little Chinese takeaway only a few feet from their door.
Now as a lover of Chinese food … and as I’m hungry at the moment, that may sound a tempting proposition. But I’m not sure I could take 26 years of it.
26 years standing indoors waiting for people passing by your alley.
What A Bloody Waste Of A Life!!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not being derisive in the slightest. Of course in many ways it’s something to be proud of … running your own shop.
But when you really think about it, is it a life that you want for yourself? Or your kids?
Put it this way, if I told you now that instead of running a cash on demand business on your laptop 2 or 3 times a week working 2 or 3 hours a day, you would stand in one room for the next 26 years and stare out of the window waiting for people to come in with enough money to allow you to pay the rent, buy more stock, keep the VAT people happy, feed yourself and generally give you a subsistence level of living … well would you get excited?
Would That Be Your Dream? Is that the life you sort out when you enrolled in the Cash on Demand Course?
It took me back to when I was a child “keeping an eye out for customers…” , standing behind the counter in the shop, while my Dad was ‘out the back’ bringing through more stock or unloading his van.
Dad’s business never made enough to have any full time staff to work in the shop … he and my long suffering mother had to do it all themselves. In truth my Dad wasted away his life just waiting and waiting and waiting!!!
Now the reason for mentioning this … the reason its made such an impact on me today … is because I have just leapt out of my Swimming Pool to type this up.
And I’ve probably made more in a week WITHOUT even working…
Then my Dad did in an entire year working around the clock…
The contrast between the life that we had as kids in that shop … waiting on the whim of the passing customers … and the lifestyle I now have available thanks to the Cash On Demand business is just so incredible.
But what really struck me as these thoughts flashed through my mind and as I thought about that little luggage shop I’d been in just a few hours earlier, was the startling contrast in lives.
The difference between the guy sat in his shop up that alleyway waiting to sell me the laptop bag … and me, the person buying the laptop bag who wants it so that he can wheel his ENTIRE BUSINESS around with him when he next checks into the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
The contrast between the two sons of shopkeepers. The one who took over the family business … and the one who escaped.
(A shudder just ran down my spine :- )
It’s something to be grateful for, that’s for sure.
Actually next time I go back to that town, I’m going to take the guy a present … the Cash On Demand Modules so he can see what alternatives there might be for him in life.
The Point To All This? I just dearly hope you make the right decision in your life. That you can embrace the Cash On Demand philosophy and that you don’t just place it on the shelf or in a draw and stand their waiting for something to happen.
Believe me, life goes by so, so very quickly. Actually its quite frightening how quickly it does go by.
PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T WASTE IT.
Especially when something like a cash on demand business can take you to the life you truly seek. Not to use the information in the course would in fact be so sad. In fact, even if you never set up a cash on demand business, I would urge you to sit down and just think what you’re doing with your life and where its going because you don’t want to waste the next 26 years of your own life … come to that, you don’t want to waste a single minute of your own life do you?
Cash on Demand business or not … remember, life is to be lived. Don’t throw it away!
