Since 2008 Andrew Reynolds has been a proud supporter of the national charity Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. The Make-A-Wish headquarters are a stone’s throw from Andrews Reynolds home and on passing their office one day decided to pop in and learn more about the charity and to see if he could help with any fundraising.
In the last 3 years using Andrew Reynolds Cash On Demand marketing techniques, he has helped raise over £1.2million for the children’s charity and donated personally over £100,000. In 2008 Andrew was also made an Ambassador for the charity and continues to support and promote the fantastic work they do for thousands of children with life threatening illnesses across the UK.
Make-A-Wish’s sole purpose is to grant unforgettable wishes to young people and children who are fighting life-threatening illnesses. To many families a Make-A-Wish wish will be the last happy memory they have to cherish of their child: having fun in a magical world, surrounded by family and friends.
The 2008 and 2009 Andrew Reynolds Cash On Demand Bootcamp events donated 100% of the Bootcamp ticket proceeds directly to Make-A-Wish.
Speaking about the difference the money raised can make, Andrew Reynolds said “Being able to put on an event like the Andrew Reynolds Cash On Demand Bootcamp, to raise awareness and direct financial support for this charity – and to see the immediate results of wishes being granted for some of these children and young people has been an amazing and life changing experience for everyone involved – from the back stage crews, the front of house teams and the speakers who fly in from around the world to help make the Andrew Reynolds Cash On Demand Bootcamps such inspirational events”.
Neil Jones, Chief Executive of Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, said, “The fantastic donations raised from the Andrew Reynolds Entrepreneurs Bootcamps has funded over 200 wishes for children that Make-A-Wish Foundation want to help.”
Neil added, “Both the Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp events are the largest donations ever raised at an event for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. I would like to personally thank all the delegates for their kind generosity and in particular thank Andrew Reynolds for organising the event and making this fundraising opportunity possible.”
Make-A-Wish Foundation recently celebrated its 21st Anniversary. Since 1986, it has granted more than 6,000 wishes and Andrew Reynolds joins other notable 21st Anniversary Ambassadors including Esther Rantzan, Sir Paul McCartney and even Mickey Mouse!
Chief Executive of Make-A-Wish, Neil Jones added, ‘We are always delighted to have the support of local businesses and thank Andrew for his kind donation, his ongoing support for Make-A-Wish and also for accepting the role of Ambassador. With Andrews support we will be able to grant even more magical wishes to children both in the local area and across the UK.’
